Creekside Assembly of God is affiliated with the General Council of the Assemblies of God. Our Lead Pastor,
Pastoral Staff, and Church Board are always available to answer any questions you might have about our beliefs.

The following are based on the core beliefs of the Assemblies of God and have been approved and affirmed by  the members and leaders of our church.

The Bible is the infallible and inspired Word of God. It is a revelation of God to humanity. It is trustworthy and authoritative in regards to our faith and conduct. We are to work diligently in building every part of our lives, families, businesses and church ministries on the revelation of Scripture.

The Bible

The one true God has revealed Himself as the eternally self-existent "I AM," the Creator of heaven and earth and the Redeemer of humanity. He has further revealed Himself as Father, Son and Holy Spirit, which is known as the Trinity. Neither Person in the Trinity either exists or works separately or independently of the others.

God

We believe that Jesus is the Son of God, fully human and fully God. He is the Lord and the Savior of humanity. Jesus lived a perfect life then voluntarily paid for our sin by dying on the cross as our substitute.  He rose from the dead and sits at the right hand of the Father.

Jesus

The Holy Spirit is a gift given to us as believers, received through repentance and belief in the name of Jesus.  When “born again” we receive the seal of the Holy Spirit, signifying our adoption as a child of God.  Being baptized with the Holy Spirit is distinct from the experience of the new birth, with the initial physical evidence of speaking in tongues.
The Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness, teaches us through scripture, intercedes for us in prayer, reveals Jesus’ purpose for us, and convicts us of sin.

Holy Spirit

Though originally good, humans willingly chose rebellion against God. Humanity’s only hope of redemption was made when Jesus died on the cross to pay the penalty for our sins and deliverance from sickness. Salvation is received through repentance from our sins and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.  It is a gift from God, free for anyone.  After salvation, sanctification is realized in believers by recognizing their identification with Jesus, by living daily in faith, and by offering all that we are continually to the leading of the Holy Spirit.

Salvation

The church is not a building, location or an event. It is the community of individuals who have placed their faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.  Jesus is building His church throughout the whole earth and that our particular local church is a part of the Body of Christ and also a unique expression of His grace in our city. The ministries within the church exist for the evangelization of the world, worship of God, building up of the body of believers, and the meeting of human needs through love and compassion.

The Church

God, in His own time and in His own way, will bring the world to its appropriate end. According to His promise, Jesus Christ will return personally and visibly to the earth. When this occurs, the living believers will be raptured, the dead will be raised; and Christ will judge everyone. The unbeliever will be consigned to Hell, the place of everlasting punishment. The believer in their resurrected and glorified bodies will receive their reward. We look forward to a new heaven and a new earth where we will dwell forever with the Lord. For the believer, this is our blessed hope.
